Shame on new Funny Car driver John Lindberg for Jim Heads team following a bad accident on the track with John Force. In all my years of watching drag racing, I’ve NEVER witnessed a racer throwing his equipment all over the track in a tantrum THINKING IF HIMSELF WHEN ANOTHER DRIVER IS STILL in the car being tended by first responders after the crash. He lacks humanity. JIM HEAD.....Get another driver now!!! His comments following the wreck was lament that they didn’t have spare parts like the other teams. NOT ONE word expressing concern for John Force. He will hopefully join another heartless racer Whit Bazemore.
HELLO JIM HEAD RACING.Hats off to jim head racing for the 4.08 pass at Arizona.From time to time NHRA commentators point out that head racing uses a conservative turn-up.I think It's working for the 1000 ft racing mark.Head racing is qualifying as well as the corporate teams. Subject: Reading on some racing forms I read that there maybe now or in the future. a shop position may open up.I have been involved. In drag racing from the 70's I have worked as a gofer for racing teams like " the quarter horse"funny car team the "golddigger and the "blue thunder team.I have good work ethics, fast learner and good mechanical skills. I will work for chance to gain knowledge and experience. "No pay" (week end's only) If job opens up please give. consideration. This is a priority in the "bucket list". Thank you. Hello Jim, I am looking to join a team. I am 52 and am very interested in joining up with a team up in the pacific northwest. I am in Eastern wa.State and have general mechanic skills over the yrs. and have watched, asked questions... alot and have the drive to accomplish the most detailed tasks. Have alot of attention to detail built in already so if you know anyone up this way i can run of anytime and get lost in the dream. Thanks.
I am a 36 year old Heavy Equipment Operator in Colorado. I recently saw a posting in National Dragster for a position in your shop. I have since lost the issue, but would like to find out more about the position and would like to know which approach would be best for applying. I do have moderate experience with race cars and their components. I do not expect to drive or anything of that nature this point, but would love the oppertunity to grow with a very respected team such as yours. I had other asperations early in life but my desires have since changed. I, was also a Civil Engineering student in the mid-'90s. I would love to here from you some day, and be able to follow through with my endeavors. Thank you very much in advance for any concideration.
Don't know if you remember me, I owned Ben's Race Car Parts in Bellaire, TX.(Houston). You used to come in and b.s. with us when you were racing on a local basis. In fact, I remember when you came by and said adious and headed for, I believe, California. Been keeping up with you, you've done damn good for a guy without the heavy sponsorship. Proud of you. Hope everything else in life, other than racing, is going o.k. for you. Good luck this evening. They made a comment that sounded like you were getting out of the sport? Jim, I have also had a problem with trigger finger. Finger locks when fist is closed. Dr's suggested surgery and injections. My massage therapist fixed it for me. I suggest you try your therapist before continued Dr. treatment.
Looking forward to seeing in a few days. You sold my wife a car last year at Pomona and you signed it for her in the pits. She did not like the photo I took of you and her so we will see you at the starting line again before the race. She is really looking forward to seeing you.

You are all a bunch of middle aged blue collar workers that cant stand the thought of going to work on the assembly line for the rest of your life and think you can somehow weasle your way into a sweet job. Jim, loved your Racers For Christ article, will be pulling for you at the track. Seems like a shiny coat of wax would lower an ET by .005; don't think all the teams do that (helps due to wind resistance). Also, I think the Castrol in my own Impala is good for another .005--just seems to run faster. Best of luck in 2011 And Prayers.
