Who are these people, lurking, watching, bugging and annoying everyone ? I don't want to know them, and i don't want them bothering me again ! They are nosey spy's, evil, pest, they do nothing to help anyone.
I would imagine Rick H got really tired of having to get scrappy year after year trying to get full sponsorship for Jr’s car. Now, he just doesn’t have to. He’s got too much baggage. Beer Pong Sunday Funday concussion gate was the final straw. After that, they concocted a plan for Jr to exit racing all the while allowing him to save face and leave “on his own terms”....rsm....
As for why Binky retired - who knows? Still waiting for someone to explain why if his health and the concussion issue was the driving force, why didn't he retire this season? Why risk health for one more season? Rick H can say whatever he wants publicly but there is probably the truth behind the story he tells.
You know after awhile, the bs get a old, no matter what the $$$ are. I seriously believe after beer pong gate, Rick had enough of Binky's b's. Anyone who believes the Nascar bought and paid for media, hasn't a clue. PR below thinks all folks are wool fools. Too bad Binky Boy tells on himself. -k
Binks was fully sponsored for a number of years. It was discussed here a lot. I do think BInky was very popular before Sr. died but Sr.'s death made his fans elevate BInky to a status he would never would have achieved on his own. My opinion. Jr. Nation is over the top bizarre about Binky.
So or rookie 21:34, Binky flat out lied, once again, when he said he was in contract extension negotiations with Rick right before he announced his retirement????? I find your public relations post a bit far fetched. Though Binky is an multiple time proven liar. -k
The 21:34:17 post by Liar Legend is at best a dream but in reality, a bunch of lies. I'll answer that post once I have done some research. COMODE Earnhardt Jr in no way was ready to retire. He stated that fact on many occasions. Hendrick cut him loose because he's a bum. Give me some time a I will blow the lies posted by Liar Legend with indisputable facts.
If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. Go look up the youtube video of the Michigan IROC race, when Dale Sr barely beat Jr by a nose. They're interviewing Dale Sr in victory lane, and the video feed is being projected on a big screen for the crowd. Listen to the crowd reaction when Jr steps into the frame. Jr was popular because people liked him. They'd seen him grow up at the track. Once he started winning in the Busch series, people were hooked. Obviously, when Sr died, and Jr had to grieve in front of the world, he became even more beloved. But I guarantee, if you ask Jr would he give up the money and the fame to have his father back, he'd do it in a heartbeat.
Jr was really popular before Sr died. He would have still been really popular(and likely more successful on the track) had Sr lived. Although he wouldn't be nearly as rich. I also love people who pretend everything was just peachy for Jr after Sr died. I don't think he'll ever get over it.
He “carried” them on reputation only and due to his connection to his dad. If it weren’t for his name, he would have never made the money he did, for himself, DEI, or HMS. Basically, Sr carried Jr and DEI, and, posthumously, HMS. Jr himself minus the Sr connection was just another driver.....rsm...
Even as abysmal as this year has been, Jr still made HMS money. The 88 car will very likely lose money next year, because HMS had to give Nationwide a massive discount and reduced number of sponsored races to stick around another season. Although, when Bowman was announced as Jr's replacement, they said Axalta would sponsor the majority of the races, and Nationwide would pick up most of the remaining dates. However, when HMS recently had their unveiling of the 2018 paint schemes/drivers, Axalta was on Byron's car. They wanted Byron to replace Jr in the 88, but HMS said he needed another year in Xfinity. HMS missed on all the drivers they pursued to replace Kahne, so Byron was moved up. I'm sure Axalta wasn't thrilled, which is likely why they're on Byron's car now. So it's possible Nationwide increased the number of races they're sponsoring, but I doubt the 88 will be fully sponsored; and Bowman sure as hell can't command the sponsor money Jr could. I've read multiple people here claim Jr was forced out, but its obvious they have no clue how much money he brings into his race teams. He literally carried DEI. Nate Ryan's piece last year laid out the revenue numbers for Jr during his time at HMS. As of last year, Jr had brought in over a quarter of a billion dollars. And Rick loved it, because Jr/Kelley never played hardball when it came to his salary. He is/was a cash cow. Rick would have let him drive as long as he wanted. Furthermore, Jr had decided to retire weeks before he told Rick. Rick said he knew something was up when Kelley hadn't call him and requested the extension paperwork. And when Jr called him to request a meeting, he knew Jr was hanging it up. Jr said telling Rick he was retiring was one of the hardest things he'd ever done.
rsm, that was my thinking totally! COMODE Earnhardt Jr ruined the careers of a lot of good people with his mediocre career. Nobody would blame the bum and his crew chief and crew always got the blame. Hendrick got tired of the drunk diva and told him see you later. I'm sure his crew and crew chief are ecstatic about it. I just hope the Bowman kid gets a fair chance in the 88. I would think he will!
Rookie, in my opinion which is based on COMODE Earnhardt Jr's quotes from interviews that he has done and my take is that Rick Hendrick did not want to resign him. COMODE Jr said in December that they were talking after the doctors released him. In January he said they had postponed talks for a couple of months to see how he was. COMODE Jr said in March that he was 100% and happy with the way he felt in the car. After the first eight races and the fact that COMODE Jr had finished in the top thirty four times, the top twenty three times he announced his retirement stating he "wanted to go out on his own terms". A clear indication he was not invited back.
Lol...I went and read the sucks forum...lol....there sure are some blind Binky fans over there. Binky retiring because a medical condition....geez if Binky was retiring for medical condition he would have never come back after that beer pong party. That's just plain common sense to realize that.
Oh Liar Legend, I posed a question on the sucks site for you! Leave the ladies alone in here please. These girls have class and liars don't belong. Come on back to the sucks site or why don't you hang out with your buddy on the Danica Patrick sucks site. You know, where you can post pornographic material and blame it all on Limpnoodle Lambert.
