Brain-dead Brandon will never play baseball again. He'll be lucky to get out of bed every morning, and one day he just won't. Sad

I've never seen another player work a 3-0 count only to strike out as many times as this tall pile of dogshit.horrible.

Belt is probably the worst first baseman in the National League, if not MLB, if not MLB + the minor leagues, if not the world. No power, no speed, no glove, no energy. He doesn't even enjoy the game. My dog is a better baseball player, and she died 2 years ago.

Typical Belt season .225 16 hr"s,tons of strike out's .we could have Adam Duval, but we traded him for mike freakin'Leake!!!!!

When one is really good at fouling off pitches down middle, hits per pitch goes down. I give you the BeltFactor1=hits/pitch and BeltFactor2=runs/pitch. Thanks for the 18th inning but we all know was luck and now we are stuck

Giants need to get a power hitter right now,or our season is done!!! We can't rely on Belts "power"or lack thereof!!!!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sun, 14 May 2017 20:53:30 GMT
When he was 7...Brandon struck out 4 times in one game of tee ball. Each time was with the base loaded.

Belt seem bothered & in a bad move since he didnt get a contract like Crawford, Once Belt got paid he lost his hunger & became useless he sucks & doesnt help out much
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Fri, 28 Apr 2017 18:24:51 GMT
Strikes out on the high fastball way too much. Doesn't make adjustments. Rarely clutch. Inability to learn/adjust at this point. Never has realized his potential
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 26 Apr 2017 15:34:25 GMT
He always has a blank look on his face.

Only strikes out, walks, pops out, or dribbles. the Belt brain- "I kinda suck. How can I nurse my way through a career." By pretending you wouldn't have struck out if that terrible high strike had not been called. #LosingMentality

FRIDAY, April 7, 2017 - FIRST CAREER GRAND SLAM!!! Plus, a second home run two innings later!!! The Giants should have won for Brandon's effort alone, but no, we lost to the Padres no less. You're looking good, Brandon. Keep up the good work. It's only the first week of the season. I have high hopes we'll do well. Stay healthy everyone. Go Giants! - bon

We really need someone with pop at 1st. Belt would be batting 6 or 7th on another half way decent team. I dont see his hr total going up.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Fri, 18 Nov 2016 02:46:37 GMT
Belt just hasn't panned out like we hoped. He even stated a couple years ago....."No reason I don't hit 35 home runs this year." He never comes close. You need a stud at first base, especially with the Giants' weak hitting outfield. Belt is so mediocre it's frustrating. Big as an ox, hits decent at times, in the clutch he can hit like a panty-waist.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 01 Nov 2016 06:23:41 GMT
brandon belt is like the duane kuiper of the indians (not including the defense) goes up there looking 4 a walk and he a 1st baseman he pathetic
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 25 Oct 2016 00:44:23 GMT
Belt is TERRIBLE! Trade him for something and get a real 1st baseman that can hit and not strikeout. He either whiffs or walks 50% of the time. Then he makes an out another 22% of the time. He doesn't produce enough runs. Just because he has a high on base percentage doesn't make him valuable. Come on people get it right. 1st base has to produce power and RBI's. It's that simple. If you don't you're out... He will walk with men in scoring position or strikeout. He should be leading the team in RBI's not Crawford.
Posey should have more RBI's as well. It is a power outage at 3rd and King. Start by losing Belt for someone more productive. I like the pitching except the bullpen didn't perform. Strickland's fastball is fast but straight. That's not going to cut it at the major league level. He needs to work on another pitch or two that he can command. The other guys in the bullpen have to pull their weight. It didn't happen that's why they lost to the Cubs. Bottom line they need to get better in a couple of areas.
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on Thu, 20 Oct 2016 10:41:17 GMT
Clearly the idiot defending Belt 3 posts down hasn't ever actually played or watched a game...maybe it's even Belt himself. Belt ranks 17th among first basemen in RBIs and slugging percentage. In both categories, he's worse than 3 other starting first basemen in the Giants' own division. One category where he is actually near the top is strikeouts...as in he has the 7th most among first basemen in the league. First base is a position that demands offensive production. He doesn't produce. The numbers don't lie.
As for turning "many bad throws...into outs," Belt plays infield with Crawford and Panik, both of whom rank in the top 10 in the entire MLB defensively for their positions. Not real hard to play first base for those guys.
So, to put it into perspective, Belt is a mediocre offensive first baseman that plays with an above average defensive infield. The Giants have, for years, stated their end goal is to move Posey to first base to prolong his career. Would you like to put Posey's numbers against Belt's and then tell us he's not hindering the team?
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sat, 15 Oct 2016 02:59:11 GMT
If we scored more runs then bullpen would have room for mistakes. Only scoring 0-3 runs a game wont get us far. Expecially in 9th inning when we need a big hit.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sat, 15 Oct 2016 02:56:16 GMT
Homers do make a diffrence. 1 swing of the bat can get runs. Compared to what it takes with singles and doubles. The man chokes when it counts! He is the man who needs to go deep not walk or double and leave it up to the next man. 25-30 hrs would he nice. With less ks.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Fri, 14 Oct 2016 16:35:38 GMT
Obviously you sour pusses ain't watching the same team. Belt takes many bad throws and turns them into outs.Him and Crawford lead in RBI's.Belt has more extra base hits than most other 1b. Home Runs are not everything. Colorado had twice as many HR as Giants. Look who made playoffs. The BULLPEN lost the season. Not Belt or any other player.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Fri, 14 Oct 2016 13:55:20 GMT
Belt would be lucky to bat 7th or 8th on any of these other playoff teams. Giants need to get some real pop in lineup! Right now we have no one pitchers fear.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 12 Oct 2016 06:55:28 GMT
Why did they sign this idiot? "He's got power"??? 17 home run power. Worst contract since Zito and at least Zito found a way to perform for a full season, not every other third set of 2 days in a row like this clown.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 12 Oct 2016 04:21:59 GMT
Belt, Pence, and Romo need to be gone next season. They were, by any measure, the least dependable players this year. Absolute wastes of roster space. In fact, Belt leaving could only make us better because Posey could finally move to 1st base and extend his career.
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on Wed, 12 Oct 2016 04:05:49 GMT
As expected..Belt ends the 2016 season for the Giants!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 12 Oct 2016 03:17:37 GMT
Belt keeps leaving men on base...Let Bumgarner play first when he's not pitching...Bumgarner's bat is 100 times more lethal than the rally killer.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 12 Oct 2016 03:11:40 GMT
Belt another easy out..post season average now .143
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 12 Oct 2016 02:18:17 GMT

Noodlebat is back I guess that 2 hole magic has a 10 day shelf life. Someone please teach this doofus how to hit
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Fri, 30 Sep 2016 03:55:11 GMT
Belt is absolutely worthless...He over runs a grounder between 1st and 2nd bases...Then Panik has to wait for Cueto to cover first...Belt doesn't have the reflexes to get around on a fastball..and he doesn't have the reflex speed to play first...The guy is absolutely worthless.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 28 Sep 2016 02:29:26 GMT
not clutch not athlectic sucks
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 21 Sep 2016 04:39:21 GMT
There are times when Brandon Belt is great. Unfortunately when he is cold he is hopeless and cannot seem to hit major league pitching. It doesn't really matter whether the opposing pitcher is cleaver or not. Belt will foul off countless pitches and then predictably will either strike out or hit a pointless, weak grounder to an opposing infielder.
I'm sure Belt is a nice person, but a giraffe he isn't.
Perhaps a stint in the minor leagues will help the River Cats. He need that experience desperately. Why not put Belt where he can once again be of use to his team.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Tue, 20 Sep 2016 04:29:51 GMT

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 05 Sep 2016 22:53:45 GMT
dreaming of William Nuschler/Jeff Leonard hitting coaches combo. did you know the current Giants hitting coaches had career batting averages of 0.220? wtf
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on Mon, 05 Sep 2016 22:40:33 GMT
Another day another loss why doesn't Bochy make any roster changes??? They made Bettis look like Vida Blue. I would put Posey at first to get him hitting (hes a lead footed singles machine) and only play Belt (who sucks we all know) when Posey spells Brown. Worthless Span becomes platoon outfielder and the rooks take over platooning based on leftie or rightie. Suck ass Casilla sits and Romo closes. It may not solve problems but at least a change would give them hope!
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Mon, 05 Sep 2016 22:30:44 GMT
Never understood the Belt bandwagon. I really think that Mac Williamson should play first base sometimes, he's an athlete and will learn the position in 5 minutes. Platoon solution with ishi ishi kawa kawa + williamson + posey at first.

Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on Sun, 04 Sep 2016 22:50:53 GMT
Every team in baseball knows he can not hit a high quality fastball. Chapman just threw 3 down the middle and he was gone...Need a new first baseman for sure next year.

Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 31 Aug 2016 23:37:17 GMT
He used to strike out a lot in tee-ball too. Stance and swing are so bad. Fly swatter
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 31 Aug 2016 22:38:05 GMT
How much longer can z giants mgmt allow Belt to pull the team down. Today he cost the team a steal of 3rd when Crawford got a great jump and he fouled the ball off
Then continued on to a strike out for the 2nd time. Oh wait he just struck out again bases loaded 1 out.Brando swing level and you might make contact more. Look at pics of Adrian Gonzales swing.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Sun, 28 Aug 2016 03:27:35 GMT
I love the giants... I feel betrayed everytime Belt takes the plate. How could they hurt us so deeply? It's devastating.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Thu, 25 Aug 2016 04:30:52 GMT
He has the worst swing! If you notice his bat goes thru the strike zone at a angle, not flat like good hitters. He has never put a full season of good hitting. I wanted him gone years ago. But they kept thinking he was going to be the next Matt Williams.......LOL right!
Anonymous (Sophomore) wrote on Wed, 24 Aug 2016 13:36:02 GMT
Has this guy ever gone 30 days without slumping like a candle in a blast furnace? His last clutch moment was that 18th inning blast in DC 2 years ago. Disgusting.
Anonymous (Rookie) wrote on Wed, 24 Aug 2016 05:56:33 GMT

He would align with giants in that he would really want to beat the Dodgers.
Plus it would be nice to see a good
Arm in the out field. His attitude might be improved in SF

Batting over 300 RISP. One of best OBP in league.Best fielding 1st baseman in league. He MAKES Crawford and Panik look good by catching everything they throw.High,low,bouncing.Next to Crawford, has most RBI's.If anything,Posey sucks.Only this year,so far.And only hitting.Still best catcher.
